Guest Lounge – Dzintra Sullivan

While I was involved in my Blog Tour for Shattered I met so many wonderful people.

Excitedly, one of the lovely people I met is also a new Author. So new in fact that today is the release for her very first book.

I’d like you to give it up for our guest in the red leather chair.

Please welcome Dzintra Sullivan, a brand new Aussie Author, to the guest lounge today.

Dzintra, could you tell us a little about yourself?

Hello, thank you so much for having me, I am a happily married mum of 4 children. I live on the sunny east coast of Australia. I am addicted to coffee, home baked cookies and books.

Arkadia is your debut novel, released today. What are some of the things you’ve learned along the way in your journey to get here?

I have learned there is more to me than I thought. I have discovered a passion in my blood that although I knew it was there, I didn’t know I had the strength to let it free into the world. I have also learnt I have an unhealthy comma addiction according to my editor at Xterraweb.

I think I may need to borrow a few of yours, mine is always adding commas. 🙂 So, what was the story spark behind ‘Arkadia’?

I have teenage daughters! I see the struggles they go through trying to “fit in” trying to be “accepted” into society, they are my inspiration for this series.

What was the most challenging thing about writing ‘Arkadia’?

For me? It was to release control of the characters and let them do the talking, as soon as I stood back and just let the story flow, it was a far smoother journey.

What advice would you give someone writing their own stories looking to get published?

Believe in yourself! the only person you have to please is yourself. If you love it, then others will love it.

And lastly, where can we purchase ‘Arkadia’?

Initially it is available through amazon. A tiny 99C for the first week. I hope to go on and release in other stores, as well as paperbacks being available through myself with in a few weeks.

Thank you for taking the time out today, on this – I’m sure – very busy release day.

Thank you so much for allowing me some time on your page. I sincerely hope everyone loves Arkadia as much as I do.

I am Arkadia Castner. I am beautiful. I am popular. I am also the most messed-up witch you will ever meet. I can’t make water boil, or make the wind blow; I can’t even light a match without the aid of a flint. My 18th birthday is in six months, and if I don’t pass the Paranormal Safety Exams (PSEs) by then, I will be banished to the Isle of Shadows for eternity, never to be seen again – it will be as though I never existed.

I found myself at the halfway house under the supervision and guidance of Den Mother and telepathic empath, Eloise Mayflower. The halfway house is the last chance for troubled paranormal teens like me to pass our PSEs and avoid banishment. Eloise knows everything I think and feel, and is supposed to be helping me, but I still can’t do basic spells a six-year-old can do. I hate it here, but I have no choice. This is my last chance.

I had all but given up hope, when in walks Bohdan Drak. Tall, dark, and so damn sexy it hurts to look at him – even his muscles had muscles. He is a dragon shifter and wears the mark of having passed his PSEs. When our souls meet, we realize we have found our soul mates and perfect matches. My dying hope has found life again, and I finally have a reason to look forward to a future.

I thought everything would be fine, but darkness and despair creep into my future. I have been framed for a murder, and everyone believes I am guilty. The paranormal council now watches my every move. Can I trust Bohdan and true love? I fear my destiny is to be banished forever
